Shared records allow health professionals to share some limited information from your medical records with other health services that provide you with care. We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and proactive Medical Secretary to carry out a wide and varied range of duties within Waterloo House Surgery.




You must possess the skills to work within a team or on your own initiative.




The post holder must have a commitment to supporting the service, be flexible and be actively involved with cross cover. You must possess good IT skills, good time management and the ability to prioritise when under pressure. Problem solving is an essential skill that is also required. We expect the candidate to demonstrate a high level of communication skills both written and verbal and be able to work in a highly confidential environment.




The post-holder is responsible for providing comprehensive and efficient secretarial support to colleagues, the GP’s and patients. Experience in a secretarial or administrative role is essential.

This is a fixed term 1 year full time maternity cover contract of 35hrs per week with the possibility of a permanent part time contract after this period.




Starting salary will be minimum wage.
