The post holder will support the operational delivery within the practice, enabling the implementation of the Practices annual plans, this will include leading specific improvements and reporting on them, the post holder will be responsible for staff management, promoting team work, assessing training needs and identifying development opportunities to enhance the running of the practice for our patients.

Job Description - Operations Manager



An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly team at Waterloo House Surgery as a Prescribing Clerk.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of an efficient, comprehensive prescribing and administrative support service to the Practice and ensuring the delivery of safe, timely repeat prescriptions.

The post holder will complete all day-to-day tasks efficiently and carry out any other administrative tasks as required.

The ideal candidate will have a confident telephone manner, excellent communication and IT Skills, customer care skills, have the ability to work accurately under pressure with an excellent eye for attention to detail and would be flexible and adaptable to change.

Opportunities have arisen for:
A Medical Administrator to join the Practice Team at Waterloo House Surgery. The post will be part time (16-20 hours per week). 
The right candidates must be highly motivated and will provide patients with a friendly and confidential service. You will be responsible for all aspects of clinical administration including:
• Deal with prescription processing, liaising with patients and chemists regarding queries and prescription requests
• Assist patients in accessing the appropriate service by booking patient appointments and signposting
• Maintaining accurate medical records
• Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice.
You must possess the skills to work within a team or on your own initiative. The post holder must have a commitment to supporting the service, be flexible and be actively involved with cross cover. You must possess good IT skills, good time management and the ability to prioritise when under pressure. Problem solving is an essential skill that is also required. We expect the candidate to demonstrate a high level of communication skills both written and verbal and be able to work in a highly confidential environment.
The post-holder is responsible for providing comprehensive and efficient support to colleagues, the GP’s and patients. Experience in an administrative role is essential.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our friendly, forward thinking team at Waterloo House Surgery for a long term locum GP position to cover Maternity Leave (6 sessions per week). 

We are a thriving Practice in the beautiful Lake District in the town of Millom.  We are a well established, friendly training practice looking after approximately 8000 patients in and around Millom.  The Practice is based in new, purpose built premises co-located with the Community Hospital. 

Our Practice currently comprises of 3 GP Partners, 3 salaried GPs, a Nurse Practitioner, a Practice Pharmacist, a highly skilled Nursing Team and efficient Admin Team.

We are a high achieving, organised Practice and were rated as “Outstanding” in our most recent CQC inspection.  We are also actively involved with our local PCN.
